Overview
The Department of Korean Study cultivates experts in Korean language education who can teach Korean as a second language (KSL) and Korean as a foreign language (KFL). With a global learning environment that allows interaction with international students from diverse backgrounds, distinguished professors, and a differentiated curriculum, our goal is to foster top-notch professionals in Korean language education.
By completing the Korean Education major, students automatically acquire the Korean Language Teaching Certificate (Level 2) certified by the government, according to the National Language Basic Act Enforcement Ordinance (Presidential Decree No. 18973, 2005). This certification enables them to work as professors, teachers, Korean language textbook and content developers in Korean language education institutions both domestically and internationally.
